Kayaking 101 - September 20, 2025

This class is an introduction to kayaking for the beginner paddler.

Learn the fundamentals of kayaking. We will cover paddle strokes, guiding your kayak, self-rescue, water safety, and end with open kayaking in Lake Jessup.

Please wear clothing that can get wet and bring a towel.

Class is 10:00am-12:00pm, starting at the Meadows Place Community Center and moving to Lake Jessup (McGrath Park) after instruction.

Cost: $15 Ages: 7yr+ (children under 15yrs must be accompanied by an adult)

Recommended gear: - Water Bottle - Water Shoes, - Sunscreen - Sunglasses

City Participation Waiver can be found and read in the Information section (to the side or below the payment form).

A service fee of 3.5% and a provider fee of $1.25 or $1.50 will apply to all payments. Fees subject to change.
